Start the tour by crossing the “25 de Abril” bridge, and pay a visit to Palmela’s medieval Castle, place of many battles of re-conquered Christians, War of the Spanish Succession, property of the Order of Santiago, it has become a National Monument. Follow this up by refining your taste as you experience the exquisite wine, cheese and regional pastry.
At AZEITÃO, join us in visiting one of the many existing wine houses of the Palmela region (Setúbal District), which is awarded worldwide for its production of high quality wines.
Next we will visit an artisanal Portuguese tiles factory.
Be involved in the beauty of the Natural Arrábida Park that presents us a typical flora and fauna, due to his microclimate, an overwhelming landscape to contemplate from the top of the Mountains. In the horizon you can see the TROIA peninsula, with its stunning soft white sand beaches and crystalline waters.
Its common to see Dolphins and a great variety of seabirds (which like to swim and fly along with the fishing boats until the Setúbal docks, famous for its fish) in the Sado estuary area, where the river mixes with the Atlantic waters. This is the perfect pit stop for lunch, where the menus specialty are the fresh sea products.
To end our tour nothing better than return to Lisbon crossing the "25 de Abril" bridge, visit the top of “Cristo Rei” (Christ the King) witnessing the amazing view of Lisbon and Tejo estuary, a natural treasure.
